Meet Michelle

Internationally recognized fitness expert, award-winning athlete, and creator of multiple top-selling DVDs, Michelle Dozois has been helping people lose weight, get fit and lead healthier lives for over 15 years. Her contagious energy and unique, effective programming have helped her sell in excess of 4 million DVDs such as Pilates for Dummies, Prevention’s Walk your Way Slim, Dance off the inches, the Original 10 Minute Solution series and her own award winning brand “Your Body Breakthru”.
Michelle’s constant drive to develop innovative workouts led her to her newest, and most life-changing project – the Peak Fit Challenge. This eight-week program, scientifically designed to change the body’s metabolic blueprint, was developed with her husband, Phil, and launched in their Breakthru Fitness club with amazing results. Hundreds of participants have lost weight and inches, and literally changed their bodies. This system has been adapted for a unique infomercial kit, and will be available for home users in March of 2011.
Michelle’s ability to appeal to a wide audience, from the beginner to the super fit, has made her an inspiring and motivating teacher for people of all levels of fitness. She was one of the stars of Jenny Craig’s “Fit in 15″ and has created easy to learn workout videos for both Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. She is also a regular contributor to numerous consumer magazines such as Fit, Shape, Fitness, and Natural Health.
Born and raised in South Pasadena, California, Michelle started taking gymnastics and dance at the age of five. After performing in national touring shows and staying fit as way of life, Michelle became involved in the world of aerobics and fitness, and soon after was recognized as a National and World Aerobic Champion. This distinction led to her to become an international presenter, where she had the privilege of teaching instructors and students in over 20 countries around the world.
After more than 15 years of running some of the countries leading group exercise programs and presenting the latest fitness trends around the world, Michelle and her husband Phil Dozois opened Breakthru Fitness, Pasadena’s premier full service health club offering the best of the best in group fitness, personal training, weight loss and Pilates. With shared passions they have both become well-established names as fitness leaders in the Los Angeles area.
Michelle is a certified Pilates Instructor both with Stott Pilates and in the Method® Pilates from the Physical Mind Institute and a certified group exercise instructor with the American Council on Exersice ( ACE). She has studied and been certified in personal training with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
